Zuckerberg is Truly a Capitalist: If You Don't Do It, AI Will

@阑夕:It's hilarious. Everyone still remembers the incident a while ago where Meta forcibly installed monitoring software on employees' computers to help train AI, right? It sparked massive protests within the company at the time, as employees believed this was essentially asking them to share their skills with a competitor that would ultimately replace their jobs.

After "fully hearing" the employees' opinions, Meta updated a memo stating they were making concessions, but the compromise was extremely awkward, and could even be called mere formalism:

– Employees can apply for no more than 30 minutes of paused monitoring time per day, during which they can handle private information they do not want the company to extract;

– Once the 30 minutes are up, the monitoring software will automatically resume running and cannot be turned off again for the rest of the day;

– A small number of employees can apply to their superiors, stating their work content is of a sensitive level. If approved, they can receive an exemption and will not have the monitoring software installed;

That's it, nothing more.
