@JiubianPro: A delivery guy saved up and bought an Audi, and I actually understand him. When I was in college, what I wanted most was to buy an incredibly awesome Alienware laptop, but that thing was always super expensive—over 20,000 yuan even a decade ago. Later on, I did eventually buy it, and it truly brought me a lot of joy. Later still, even though my income went up, rarely could anything bring me that kind of pure happiness. So I support going after the things you love as soon as possible; otherwise, it might really be too late in the future.
But an Audi is a bit different from a gaming laptop or a trip. Once you buy that thing, you have to keep spending money on it (insurance + gas + maintenance + parking). Conservatively speaking, it costs 20,000 to 30,000 yuan a year, continuously draining cash flow—it consumes an Alienware laptop's worth of money every year.
So his move was a bit too much, which is why the whole internet is mocking him. Everyone can see that this thing might become a "dead weight" for him, making his life even harder.
Over the years, I haven't been opposed to consumerism. Looking back as I've gotten older, being able to make yourself happy is actually the most important thing, so spending a little is fine. But he went too hard on this one, and if he's not careful, it might really drag him down.
