@九边Pro:You must have seen the news about the "Peking University and Tsinghua University Goose Leg Auntie" these past couple of days, right? This is exactly why I always say that there's nothing wrong with pre-packaged meals, especially those from giant corporations like McDonald's and KFC. They are so massive that authorities can easily regulate them. Their reputations have been built over years with massive investments, and they absolutely won't let them be ruined over minor issues. Therefore, they have a bottom line. This bottom line isn't about moral standards; it's because they are easy to supervise, and any minor incident would cause them huge losses.
Anyone with a bit of common sense knows that street vendors have the absolute worst standards with virtually no bottom line. You can't even imagine what they are capable of doing. On one hand, there are too many of them to regulate effectively; on the other hand, if something goes wrong, they can just close up and open a new one.
These things are obvious, and I don't know why some people just can't figure it out. Moreover, you must believe this: the poorer you are, the more you should support those big corporations. You truly have no idea what's inside the cheap, unpackaged goods you buy.
I had a fellow townsman who made skewers, and he told me that many of the cheap skewers people eat are actually made by pouring sheep fat over duck meat. In fact, many people probably eat duck meat quite often without realizing it. It is incredibly widespread; even the beef and mutton in many roadside hot pot restaurants are made of duck meat. Duck meat is very cheap and not harmful, so it is used extensively in daily life—it's just that people don't know about it. It's not that duck meat tastes bad; it's just that this kind of counterfeit behavior is quite annoying.
